AM Best affirmed the financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) of Guardian General. The Rating reflects GGIL's dominant Market Presence, sound Capitalization and improved Catastrophe Risk exposure.

A Rating Report from the A.M. Best Company, the leading provider of insurer ratings, represents an independent opinion based on a comprehensive quantitative and qualitative evaluation of a company's balance sheet strength, operating performance and business profile.

For Insurance Companies, a Best's Rating is a strategic tool that can enhance consumer confidence in the organization's stability as well as its attractiveness to investors.

A Rating also enhances an insurer's credibility with insurers. Insurance professionals depend on Best's Ratings to determine the financial strength and operation of specific insurers, to evaluate prospective reinsurance accounts, to compare company performance, financial condition and more. In recent years, ratings have become an increasingly important factor in a consumer's decision to purchase insurance.

The company information appearing in this pamphlet is an extract from the A.M. Best Company's website www.ambest.com.

Financial Size Categories (FSC)

GGIL's FSC VIII represents "Adjusted Policyholder Surplus of USD $100 million to USD $250 million," which is the highest for any caribbean based Property and Casualty Insurer.

To enhance the usefulness of the Ratings, A.M. Best assigns each letter rated (A++ through D) insurance company a Financial Size Category. The FSC is designed to provide a convenient indicator of the size of a company in terms of its statutory surplus and related accounts.
