An organisation's core value is a belief that a specific mode of conduct is preferable to an opposite or contrary mode of conduct. Core values can be viewed as representing frameworks for the way we do things; they are the standards that inform and inspire all our activities and distinguish us as a business.
Immense value and benefits can be gained from communicating an organisation's Core Values.
At Guardian General, our Core Values are:
Guardian General Insurance Limited and its Caribbean subsidiaries, have chosen to develop and communicate our core values for many reasons, including:
- To hone our organisation's sense of identity,
- To articulate what we stand for,
- To increase ethical sensitivity and judgement among employees and
- To provide moral support for staff and guide us in making decisions.
Some organisations think of their values as their 'guiding light' directing the process of organisational development and growth. Others describe them as components of their philosophy.
At Guardian General, our core values are our Moral Compass, helping us to maintain a steady course in an ever-changing environment.
Sincerely,
Richard Espinet, CEO
