Education
Guardian General in association with the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill campus established the Premium Teaching Award in 2004, which recognise and reward faculty for teaching excellence. In 2005, the first recipients were Dr. Colin Depradine and Dr. Richard Clarke.
In association with the Royal Barbados Police Force, Guardian General has embarked on a road safety campaign among the youth of the country. Many of the nation’s primary school students have been and continue to be exposed to safe road use habits and practices. GG, the company’s new spokesman accompanies the road safe team on their visits.
Sports
Guardian General has been involved in the development of the nation’s youth through sponsorship of sports. For about two decades the company has sponsored the combined schools team in the Barbados Cricket Association’s Division 1 competitions. In 2003, Guardian General teamed up with the National Sports Council to provide sponsorship for the Herman Griffith Primary Schools Cricket competition.
Guardian General have sought to encourage and enhance local breeding in horse racing by sponsoring a race day in alliance with the Barbados Breeders Association, know as the Guardian General Insurance Breeders Stakes & Trophy.
Guardian General has also provided sponsorship for number of other sports and sports personalities, including but not limited to the following.

Guardian General has also sought to encourage the performing arts through its sponsorship of Laff-it-Off, a comical theatrical production
