Message from our CEO

Every organization has a standard of conduct, whether it knows it or not. One way or another, explicitly or implicitly, every organization communicates its values and its ground rules for behaviour.

An organization's core value is a belief that a specific mode of conduct is preferable to an opposite or contrary mode of conduct. Core values can be viewed as representing frameworks for the way we do things; they are the standards that inform and inspire all our activities and distinguish us as a business.

Immense value and benefits can be gained from communicating an organization's Core Values.

At Guardian General, our Core Values are:

  • Integrity
  • Quality
  • Growth
  • Serving People

Guardian General Insurance Limited and its Caribbean subsidiaries, have chosen to develop and communicate our core values for many reasons, including:

  • To hone our organization's sense of identity,
  • To articulate what we stand for,
  • To increase ethical sensitivity and judgement among employees and
  • To provide moral support for staff and guide us in making decisions.

Some organizations think of their values as their 'guiding light' directing the process of organizational development and growth. Others describe them as components of their philosophy.

At Guardian General, our core values are our Moral Compass, helping us to maintain a steady course in an ever-changing environment.

Sincerely,
Richard Espinet, CEO
