Hi, I'm GG, your road safety advocate!

Many people lose their lives in vehicular accidents each
year while others suffer disabling injuries. Most of these
accidents could have been avoided, if drivers had
followed these basic safety rules.

When motorists abuse their driving privileges by speeding, being inattentive on the roadways, neglecting to use seat belts/restraints or driving under any type of impairment, they risk the life and limb of not only themselves, but other drivers and pedestrians.

Even consistently safe drivers can minimise the risks to themselves and others by learning to drive defensively. Driving defensively means not only taking responsibility for yourself and your actions, but also keeping an eye on other road users.

Guardian General, through our various road safety initiatives, remains firmly committed to making our roadways safer for all. This defensive driving manual has been divided into five (5) sections and is full of information to help you become a safer driver.

But first, take the quiz on the following page and find out how much you know about driving defensively.
