Road Safety
Many people lose their lives in vehicular accidents each year while others suffer disabling injuries. Most of these accidents could have been avoided, if drivers followed basic safety rules.
When motorists abuse their driving privileges by speeding, being inattentive on the roadways, neglecting to use seat belts or driving under any type of impairment, they risk the life and limb of not only themselves, but also other drivers and pedestrians.
Even consistently safe drivers can minimise the risk to themselves and others by learning to drive defensively. Driving defensively means not only taking responsibility for yourself and your action, but also keeping an eye on other road users, Guardian General, through our various road safety initiatives remains firmly committed to making our roadways safer for all.
We invite you to review the defensive driving manual, which is divided into five (5) sections and is full of information to help you become a safer driver.
Section I: Basic car care & safety checks
Section II: Avoiding accidents & promoting safer driving
Section III: Children, the Differently-abled & Senior Citizens
Section IV: Commercial Drivers
Section V: Moral & Legal Responsibility
