NEMWIL's operations in the region can
be traced back to 1927 when its operations
were dministered by Hunter Smith &
Earl, a firm of accountants who went
on to become Price Waterhouse,
as chief agent of a UK insurance
group. In 1960 NEMWIL was
incorporated in Trinidad and
Tobago and over the years
has established itself
as one of the leading regional insurers.

In 2002, GHL, one of the major shareholders
in NEMWIL acquired all the remaining shares of the company. Later that
year, GHL also acquired the shares of Caribbean Home Insurance
and integrated the operations of both companies. NEMWIL is
now a fully owned subsidiary of GGIL, formerly Caribbean Home,
and operates in 13 territories throughout the region.

NEMWIL's strength and reputation in the region is unquestionable and is reflected in the company achieving and maintaining an AM Best "A" Excellent rating for the past 10 years.
